"All about the apartment in single click." - SwissPlatz
Did you find the right apartments by following step #1? Would you now like to visit the apartments you just found? You might have questions such as "Do I really have to visit them?" or "Who should I contact?" or "What should I do if I am still living abroad?". Find in this post all the answers to your questions and the lifehack.

The visit of the apartments? What's the point?
The visit, individual or grouped, is important because it is the only way to see if you really like the apartment or not. Indeed, it may be that the apartment is perfectly to your taste but not at all to the level of the environment around (noise, pollution etc.) and vice versa.
In addition, the visit will allow you to observe certain aspects such as the size, the smell, the luminosity, the cleanliness as well as the view that you would not be able to evaluate through the photos that are in the ads.
Thus, the Geneva real estate agencies systematically ask future candidates to visit the property that interests you. Some agencies refuse your application if the visit has not been made !
So who should I contact and how?
In general, you have the following two cases :
The date and time of the visit are already specified in the ad. In this case, you just need to get to the apartment on time.
If this is not the case, you must contact the management or the current tenant, who must be asked for the date and time of the visit. The contact is often made by telephone.
Below is an example of each case. The information about the visit and the contact person are in the green and yellow box respectively.
LIFE HACK : In any case, we recommend that you call the contact person to find out if the apartment is still available, as it is possible that the apartment has already been assigned to someone and the visit will still take place -> Wasted time !
What if I still live abroad?
If you live abroad, you will have to find someone (family, friend, colleague) who can go in your place. SwissPlatz offers you the service of the visit in case of absolute necessity. Once visited, the pictures and the video will be sent to you by email.
BUT, we strongly recommend that you come to Switzerland instead and visit the apartments yourself to avoid any surprise.
